The members of DTEP all share common ideals, values and aspirations for and about the importance of education. DTEP members are bound by this constitution to develop the practice, thinking and creativity that underpin D&T education. Through its publications, events and multimedia DTEP will promote standards and quality in education can be improved through advice, support, training and inspection.
DTEP members all subscribe to maintaining high professional standards and developing and sharing best practice amongst its members, DTEP is committed to making a positive contribution to Design and Technology and Technical education.
DTEP aims to provide and procure quality advice, support, resources, training and inspection for Design and Technology and Engineering education. It seeks to achieve this through its association members and in partnership with industrial, educational, academic and technical partners.
DTEP activities are focused on making an effective and lasting contribution to the teaching and learning of design and technology across the United Kingdom.
DTEP aims, through association, to assist its members in their work of improving the educational experience in Design and Technology specifically and technical education generally. This is aimed at both practitioners, trainees, associates and technical and academic partners.
