Nick Baldwin. Nick is based in Worcestershire and is an independent education consultant for Design Technology and Engineering. He is also a BSF consultant and chief examiner.
Nick recently left TEP following several years leading Design and Technology education and curriculum reform as a director and technical writer. With a strong D&T leadership background, he is keen to develop sustainability issues as well as emerging technologies into mainstream D&T activity and Diplomas as well as securing education-industry partnerships.

Mark Harmsworth. Mark is a rare talent as a successful D&T practitioner and artist. He now concentrates his efforts as a materials specialist and consultant developing education/industry programmes. Mark is particularly interested in CADCAM and Robotics and supports a wide variety of CPD events. Mark was a regular contributor to magazine features and classroom products. His main work now focuses on modern materials, processing and being a mad inventor.
Allen Bower. Located in Derbyshire, Allen is an LEA Senior subject advisor with a wealth of experience in D&T as a faculty head and as a senior lecturer at Nottingham Trent University. Allen has contributed widely to the subject nationally as a technical writer and presenter.
He has a keen interest in electronics education and is a regular presenter to national audiences. Allen is passionate about retaining skills and active capability in the classroom.
DTEP activities are focused on making an effective and lasting contribution to the teaching and learning of design and technology across the United Kingdom.
Martin Clarke. Martin is a former head of a large technology faculty in Hertfordshire.  He is now an AST for D&T and is also the group consortium leader for the Engineering Diploma. With wide experience of European education technology and CAD/CAM developments Martin is keen to modernise curriculum and raise standards in delivery.  His interests range from textiles fashion and through to specification development at Edexcel. As a professional mentor, Martin manages NQTs and is also responsible for developing teacher training for GTP teachers in Design & Technology.  He is also a registered D&T Association, H&S consultant.
Gilly Browning. Gilly is Design and Technology and 14-19 advisor for Devon.  Having taught design and technology, art and mathematics in Somerset, she progressed to become a head of D&T in a state boarding school and then faculty head in a 14-19 comprehensive school. Gilly has extensive experience as an examiner for GCSE and A level as well as running subject leadership courses. She has managed CAD/CAM, EIS and Young Foresight programmes and is passionate about curriculum reform and school improvement. Gilly is an active member of the D&T Association and the National Association of Advisors and Inspectors for D&T.
David Ackroyd. Dave taught science for some thirty six years until at the grand age of fifty decided to branch out and do other things. Interested in all things crazy and especially speed. He had already built a gravity racer (posh soapbox car) with his school and raced at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. With so much fun and applied science, maths and engineering to get out of it, he formed ‘Formula Gravity’ in 2002 to spread the word.  Also famous for working with the Gadget Show and developing products, Dave now works with schools / colleges helping with the kit car racer that they produce, and at race events around the UK. Tough life!  Dave is managing director of Formula Gravity Ltd.
Chris Canavan. Chris brings an extensive experience to D&T with a career in both the Merchant Navy and in the offshore oil industry before teaching D&T from 1990. He is now head of D&T at Foremarke Hall, an independent preparatory school, where D&T is taught across the year groups of Yr.2 to Yr.8.   Chris was a member of the TEP Associate Team for some years and contributed widely to their publications and teaching resources.  He also manages the school's Young Engineer's Greenpower F24 Team and currently races three cars with sponsorship from various companies to help fund the team activities.
